XProtect Analytics enables effortless integration of multiple third-party video applications, such as license plate recognition (LPR) in a single, easy-to-manage user interface. LPR is used to recognize vehicles and control access and can be used at gate barriers, parking spaces, toll gates and in traffic enforcement. License plate information is detected and read from a digital video stream and user-defined positive/negative lists can be created that will initiate certain actions, such as opening a gate. LPR for XProtect Analytics is seamlessly configured and managed through the supported XProtect products.
XProtect Analytics integrates seamlessly with the following XProtect products: XProtect® Corporate, XProtect® Enterprise, XProtect® Professional and XProtect® Express
Gas stations
Are customers driving away without paying for fuel?
Using the LPR plug-in for XProtect Analytics it is possible to detect license plates and match these with either a blacklist or whitelist. Based on these matches, actions can be triggered. For example, fuel stations can lock gas pumps when a vehicle with a blacklisted license plate appears. Additionally, if a car drives away without paying for gas, the license plate can be added to a blacklist.
Toll gates
Do you want to minimize the amount of time staff spends handling regular commuters?
Minimizing the time a car has to stop at a toll gate improves efficiency by enabling a higher traffic flow. Pre-registering license plates makes it easier to manage electronic toll passes and allow cars to use a fast lane. Additionally, the LPR solution stores license plate information from all the cars in a defined area which can be stored in a searchable database for retrieval in case of accidents, fraud or other criminal behavior.
Parking lots
Do you want to increase parking lot efficiency for frequent customers?
LPR is an effective tool to increase efficiency for frequent parking guests because they can pay subscriptions online and after registering their license plate, gates will open automatically when they arrive.
